Look for the fun

  

Do you have those jobs that you just dread?  I will tell you two of mine:  Cleaning window blinds and cleaning out, I mean really cleaning out the refrigerator.  I don't know why, but these two jobs are my most unfavorite.  

I am currently working on spring cleaning my house and putting it into order.  It's not fun, but it needs to be done so that I can feel like my house is a temple; a place where the Lord's spirit will want to reside.

So, as I go about these dreaded jobs, my goal is to remember this beloved quote from Mary Poppins: "In every job that must be done there is an element of fun!"  Perhaps it is listening to some fun music, or listening to a funny motivational speaker, or promising myself a reward when the job is done (hey, those rewards are not just for the kids!).  

Challenge: Look for the fun in every job that must be done!
