Don't live by these labels:
Rich or poor
Smart or dumb
Success or failure
Single or married
Straight or gay
Republican or Democrat
Fat or skinny
Beautiful or ugly
Talented or mediocre
Nice or mean
Selfish or giving
Leader or follower
etc., etc.
Labels keep us from growing, changing, and reaching our full potential.
A classic label appeared beneath a picture [in an art museum] of the boy Abraham Lincoln as he stood in front of his humble birthplace—a simple log cabin. The words read: “Ill-housed, ill-clothed, ill-fed.” Unanticipated, unspoken, and unprinted was the real label of the boy: “Destined for immortal glory.” (Thomas S. Monson, 1983)
Be you! Be the best you! Be everything you want to be!
It is astounding how much we keep ourselves down by mislabeling. This gives me a lot to ponder for myself. Here's my slice for today: http://iheartpurplestuff.blogspot.com/2017/03/fourteen-years.html
