Psalms 15:15- "...he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast."
Psalms 17:22- "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine."
James 5:13- "Is any merry? let him sing psalms."
Doctrine & Covenants- "If thou art merry, praise the Lord with singing, with music, with dancing, and with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving."
Don't be a Pickle Sucker!
"Surely this is the age and place of the gifted pickle sucker. I come this morning with a plea that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that we 'accentuate the positive'. I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good...that we more generously compliment virtue and effort" (Gordon B. Hinckley).
Last night I read an adorable piece of children's literature to my young children: The Very Fairy Princess: Attitude of Gratitude by Julie Andrews & Emma Walton Hamilton. In the story the young girl is excited because her class is having Gratitude Day. She remarks how they are to show kindness and appreciation all day long, but here is my favorite quote:
"We're suppose to celebrate everyone and everything
we're grateful for by giving TONS of compliments and thanks."
What would our world be like today if we did just what this quote suggests?
CHALLENGE: Shower "TONS" of positivity throughout our day by being extra generous with our compliments, verbal appreciation, and hugs.
GOAL: A Merry Heart

This is a great way to be! I love it.
