Are you fortified?

This morning I was reading in the Book of Mormon about how Captain Moroni took such extreme measures to fortify his cities.  He didn't just build walls or dig trenches or set out guards, no, he did both! Plus, he had large mounds of dirt piled around the cities in which he had timber placed on top. Then he added pickets to the top of the timber.  In addition, he added towers so that the people could have a place to be safe from rocks and arrows.  Finally, his soldiers were clothed with full armor.  Why did he do this?  To protect himself, his people, their families, their cities, and their freedoms from their enemies.

Are you fortifying yourself against the enemy?

What are you doing to protect yourself, your family, your homes, and your freedoms from the adversary?  Do you go to extremes, so that there are no ways for him to get hold?

There is power in prayer.
There is power in feasting on the scriptures.
There is power in fasting.
There is power in following the prophet.
There is power in attending the House of the Lord.
There is power in saying, "no" to the world.
There is power in following Jesus Christ.

"In this there is safety, in this there is peace."
