Gardening Ideas-part 1

Ezekial 36:35 - And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden."

I will give other gardening/landscaping ideas tomorrow, but if you have questions about any of the following ideas, or other questions, please send me them in the comment sections.

Garden Plot Ideas
1) A Potager Garden:  A potager is simply a vegetable plot which follows the principles of garden design to create an area which is not only ornamental, but productive too. The main points to consider are rhythm, line, color and texture, and it’s important to introduce a focal point to bring the whole design together. (GrowVeg.com)

2) Kitchen Garden: In its simplist form, a kitchen garden produces fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs for delicious, healthy meals. A kitchen garden doesn’t have to be right outside the kitchen door, but the closer it is, the better. Think about it this way: The easier it is for you to get into the garden, the more likely it is that you will get tasty things out of it. Did you forget to add the chopped dill on your boiled red-skinned potatoes? No problem — it’s just steps away. (motherearthnews.com)

3)Gardening with Pots:  For some gardeners, growing vegetables in containers is a necessity. Urban gardening make use of rooftops, balconies, alleyways, sidewalks or whatever little space the gardener has available. Gardeners with physical disabilities find that growing vegetables in containers makes them far easier to reach and tend. Property with difficult soil conditions (sand, stone, clay, permafrost …) make growing vegetables especially challenging. (gardeners.com) You can get really creative with your containers you use: whicker baskets (line the insides with gardening cloth), old wheelbarrows, plastics containers from the $1 store (line the insides), homemade containers, ceramic pots, the inside of cinderblocks, old kiddie pools, etc.  The possibilities are endless!  Just make sure the containers have drainage holes in the bottom.  If they don't, just use a drill to add some in the bottom.

Basically you plant all the veggies and herbs you will need into one container.
