"...the Father asks us to love when loving is most difficult,
to serve when serving is inconvenient,
to forgive when forgiving is soul stretching.
How will we do it?
- We earnestly reach for Heavenly Father's help
- [We] do things His way instead of pridefully asserting our own will."
Alma 7 gave me even more insight:
"And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gently; easy to be entreated; full of patience and longsuffering; being temperate in all things.... And see that ye have faith, hope and charity, and then ye will always about in good works.... And now (not later), may the peace of God rest upon you, and upon your houses...your women and your children, according to your faith and good works, from this time forth and forever."
President Howard W. Hunter stated:
"So we entreat you to minister with your powerful influence for good in strengthening our families...."
