"Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost" (Luke 15:8-9)
Have you found a time in your life when you have lost something and are so desperate to find it? You seek God's light and help, you do everything needful in seeking it out diligently? When you found it, did you do as this woman did in calling her friends and neighbors together to rejoice?
Upon encouragement from friends, our family rejoiced last night for that which had been lost and is now found. What a blessing to find friends old and new take time out of their evening to rejoice with us! Thank you, God, for the blessing of friendship and the return of that which has been lost.
